Winterball 2017

We cordially invite you to the German Fulbright Association’s Winter Ball, which will take place in the beautiful city of Mainz. Mainz is located on the river Rhine, and conveniently combines the proximity to big city life in Frankfurt and beautiful vineyards in the wine region of Rheinhessen just outside of Mainz. The city is famous for the invention of Gutenberg’s movable-type printing press as well as the home of the Mainz Carnival, or as we say the “Meenzer Fassenacht”. The Electoral Palace, where we will be dancing the night away, is known for the large hall from which the annual TV show “Mainz bleibt Mainz, wie es singt und lacht” is broadcast at carnival time. The city tours after brunch on Sunday will offer the opportunity to explore more of the city and its Roman heritage.

We look forward to welcoming you to Mainz!

See you soon,
